Exercise your privacy rights.
We will respond carefully and may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing account information.
Requests you can make
- Ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access.
- Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion or destruction where retention is no longer authorised or required.
- Object to processing on reasonable grounds or withdraw consent for optional processing.
- Ask about third parties or service providers who received your information.
- Report suspected unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
How to submit a request
Email communications@boksburgsouthsda.org with “POPIA rights request” in the subject. State the account email, the right you wish to exercise and enough detail to locate the relevant information. Do not email passwords or identity-document copies unless specifically requested through a secure process.
Response and verification
We will acknowledge the request, verify identity proportionately, and respond within the period required by applicable law. A request may be limited where another law requires retention or where disclosure would affect another person’s rights. We will explain any lawful refusal.
Complaints
Please raise concerns with the church privacy contact first so they can be investigated. You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator through its official channels. Check the Regulator’s current official website for contact details before submitting sensitive documents.
Account help
For routine profile corrections, password recovery or access problems, use the platform’s self-service options or contact an administrator. Account suspension does not automatically erase records that must be retained for legitimate or legal reasons.
